$3,700,000

This is a new listing from Mark Ponder @ Westchester Realty. The asking price is $3,700,000. I am not sure what the most expensive home ever sold in Bakersfield is, but if this one sells for anywhere near its asking price I am sure it will be one of the most expensive ever.

Here are the details per the listing:

The local MLS does not have a direct link to their listings, you will have to type in the search parameters to view this listing in full.

Update - This home was orginally listed for $3.9 million by Mary C @ Watson. It is still on here website, but it has been reduced to $3.7 million. Patience has paid off and the result is $200k saved!

This house has been for sale through Mary Christenson for the last few months. Same price, guess they wanted to try another agent. I know the owners who live right behind it and we were shocked at the asking price.

I has been on the market for at least 3 months.

Correction. The original listing with Mary C. was for 3.9 million.

There you go Mark, I am sure that dropping the price 5% is going to put this baby in escrow. "Oh my gosh honey look, they dropped the price from 3.9 to 3.7, it's a steal now!! Let's buy it!"

Unbelievable...

Thanks for the information. I missed this listing with Mary.

Was the asking price $3.7 with her?

I have noticed that Mary has been very agressive in reducing here listing prices lately. Maybe this seller wouldnt budge.

Thanks! Our posts crossed each other.

They are dreaming at that price!

She still has it listed on her site, and now it is 3.7. I know before it was 3.9. Guess they are sharing the listing.

By the way, the owner of the house owns a local steakhouse here in town (which should narrow it down quite a bit.) Guess business is good!

Local Steak house?

I looked up the property details and it is a brand new home but I did not recognize the name.

Also, you are correct its on Mary's site still. I wonder who has the sign up.

KC's Steakhouse owner. I believe it's Ponder's sign now. I will check next time I am out there.
