Crisp Responds to Rumors

This is the headline at KGET. "Crisp Responds to Rumors". Watch the video. Does he really respond to the rumors?? Not sure.

BAKERSFIELD - David Crisp of the Bakersfield realty partnership Crisp & Cole said rumors about the duo’s personal integrity and private lives have been detrimental to their daily business.
The rumors have included allegations that Crisp is under investigation by the IRS or the FBI, or he was arrested over the weekend, along with other variations.
Crisp said the rumors are simply untrue and the local real estate market is changing so they are trying to adapt to the changes.
Crisp said he is moving ahead with their new office building across from Cal State, and with plans for the $350 million tower condominium project with Cal State.
He said while some investors have begun to ask questions about all the rumors, many have recently given the business partners reassurance of their support.

Why respond if these rumors are untrue? Why not come out and directly deny them? These rumors have been swirling for months along with several others. IMO this simply attaches some validity to them

Californian reports in their "puff piece" that he makes $160,000 a year in court records...yet, he has a $50,000 watch, a multi-million dollar mansion, cars, planes, bodyguards, etc......you would think the IRS would be licking their chops over this guy....should have kept his mouth shut!

The RUMORS are to blame for the collapsing house of cards? RUMORS interfering with his business? GMAFB. zzzzBest. Bakersfield should put a velvet rope around the shell of the office building as a shrine to memorialize this historic implosion.

I just finally checked out C & C's web page. Damn, that's funny. Looks out of place for the Bakersfield I know.

He had better be funneling a lot of money to the local politicians, so that they can't afford to look into him without getting the stain of guilt by association.

The video monologues are awesome. You have to be pretty slimy to pull that off. We have the equivalent up here in Livermore, Christopher Ross, complete with Hummers. They could still learn a lot from D. Crisp.

LOL Robert Cote. You have a long memory as I do :) Love the Barry Minkow reference! The posturing and parading of new money fits D.C. to a tee.

If the IRS or FBI *are* involved, I would not be surprised. There aren't many legal ways for a 26 yr old to become self-made millionaire.

Does anybody know exactly what the investment side of Crisp & Cole is all about? Is it trust deed investments for the loans they make or what? If it is I hope they have their trust accounts in order.

The monologue that opens when you click on D. Crisp implicates his entire team in any wrongdoing that may emerge. He says everybody knows what's going on, and what the details of the business are. Ouch. Well, I'm sure there's no funny business going on, so nobody needs to worry about retaining legal counsel or anything.

I also get a flashback to that scene from "Zoolander" where Owen Wilson is being interviewed for the awards show. It is so uber-cool to ask and answer your own questions when you're talking by yourself. Makes you sound more thoughtful, I think. See if you see the similarity:

Hansel: I wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I'm selling? No. Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot.

Dead Realtor Walking.

Time to start the pool. I'm betting 3 more weeks on a Thursday. The Feds like to do Thurs so the 11pm news gets it and the perp gets out on Fri and the news is waiting.

I'm also willing to start a pool on the defense. John DeLorean, Barry Mainkow, OJ, twinkie?

Robert-

LOL. You could be right on. Per a reporter I talked to, they are investigating several things. The reporters final comment to me was "lots of smoke here, fire usually not far behind".

$160,000 income + $50,000 watch + $5,000,000 mansion = Capone.

Thats what the doofus gets for showing up in the Sacramento Bee driving a $560,000 McLaren Mercedes.

What dumbbell calling attention to his pimping image.

It's hard out here for a Pimp!
